António Marques

Full Professor, holding a Habilitation, Postdoctoral, Doctoral, and Master’s degree in Psychology, he has a solid track record in academic leadership and has held several senior management roles in healthcare and higher education institutions. He is currently Vice-President of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto for Education, Innovation, and Culture, with responsibility for the Pedagogical Innovation Center of P.PORTO, the Porto Innovation Center – Science and Technology Park, Startup Porto, and the Porto Design Factory. He also serves as Director of the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Laboratory at both the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto and the School of Health of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, and is vice-diretor of the Center for Rehabilitation Research and Co-Coordinator of the Competence Center for Virtual and Augmented Reality at P.PORTO. In addition, he is a member of the National Council for Pedagogical Innovation in Higher Education and serves on the Board of the Center of Excellence for Pedagogical Innovation of North - INOV-NORTE. As a professor and researcher, his scholarly work focuses on mental health and mixed reality technologies. He was responsible for the bachelor’s and master’s programmes in Digital Health and has supervised numerous R&D projects, as well as master’s and doctoral theses, in this field.
