Luís Pinto Coelho

Luís Coelho, a professor at ISEP (Polytechnic of Porto) and a researcher at INESC TEC. For over 20 years, he has been dedicated to the use of AI applied to healthcare, seeking to help “listen to” and “see” the human body in ways that were previously impossible. His work spans several areas, from speech processing and EEG to brain–computer interfaces and smarter healthcare systems. What drives him is the creation of tools that can truly improve people’s lives, especially in the early stages of disease, even before symptoms appear.
