Special mention should be given to the project “HiLives: Including and Connecting in Higher Education: networking opportunities for independent lives”, co-funded by the ERASMUS+ programme (2019-1-PT01-KA203-061312) (Duration: 01.09.2019 – 31.12.2022). Coordinated by the University of Aveiro, under the leadership of Paula Santos, the HiLives project—developed within an international European consortium—provided opportunities for sharing knowledge and practices in (i) the inclusion of students with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in higher education, and (ii) the transition to active and independent living, exploring the role that digital technologies can play in this process. Detailed information can be found on the project website: http://hilives.web.ua.pt/
