The Centre for Pedagogical Innovation at the Polytechnic of Porto (CIP P.PORTO) is taking part in the series of Open Sessions organised by the Pedagogical Council of the School of Education at P.PORTO, an initiative dedicated to reflection and debate on topics relevant to the pedagogical and academic context.
The first session took place on 29 April, focusing on the theme “Creativity in Teaching and Learning”, and featured the participation of Erika Ribeiro, a senior researcher at CIP P.PORTO. The session centred on exploring creativity as a key dimension for transforming teaching and learning practices in higher education.
Over the coming months, the series will address topics such as assessment in the age of Artificial Intelligence, academic wellbeing and the teacher-student relationship, active learning and student engagement, as well as the development of educational chatbots. The initiative also features the participation of Mário Cruz, director of CIP P.PORTO, and Ricardo Queirós, coordinator of the P.PORTO Distance Learning Office.
The Open Sessions are aimed at lecturers, students and other members of the academic community, promoting spaces for sharing and discussion around current challenges in education and pedagogical innovation in higher education.
