Mário Cruz, director of CIP at P.PORTO, participated in the International Conference on Advanced Research in Technology, Information, Innovation and Sustainability (ARTIIS 2025), held at the Rafael Núñez University Corporation (UNINÚÑEZ) in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.
Ricardo Queirós, coordinator of the Distance Learning Office at CIP at P.PORTO, was one of the three keynote speakers invited to this edition of ARTIIS.
ARTIIS is an international forum for researchers and professionals to present and discuss the latest innovations, trends, results, experiences and concerns in the field of Information Systems (IS), focusing on four topics: IT solutions, data intelligence, sustainability, ethics, security and privacy.
The director of CIP at P.PORTO presented two papers produced by a team from CIP at P.PORTO, composed of Mário Cruz, Ricardo Queirós, Daniela Mascarenhas and Erika Ribeiro: ’Generative AI as a Catalyst for Pedagogical Innovation - Professional Development Approach in Higher Education‘ and ’Generative AI in Higher Education - Pedagogical Innovation, Professional Development, and Reflective Engagement".
Mário Cruz also chaired the 6th Session – Artificial Intelligence and Innovation in Education, which brought together perspectives from Ecuador, Portugal, and Costa Rica and presented topics ranging from curriculum design aligned with technological demands to the role of generative AI in professional development and communities of practice.
