Professor Luciana Oliveira, lecturer at ISCAP – Polytechnic Institute of Porto, was awarded first place in the first edition of the Interinstitutional Incentive Award for Innovative Teaching Practices (IIPPI), presented during the INOV-NORTE Internal Forum, held at the Monastery of Leça do Balio. The ceremony was attended by Professor Patrícia Rosado Pinto, representing CNIPES - National Council for Pedagogical Innovation in Higher Education, an advisory body to the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation.

The award was unanimously given to the project ‘The Trends Hub - Ecosystem of co-creation and network evaluation with contribution pedagogy’, an innovative pedagogical practice developed in the Trends in Business Communication course of the ISCAP Business Communication Degree.

Based on the Student Contributing Pedagogy (CSP) model, the project promotes cooperation between students, external experts and academic and professional networks, stimulating the creation and co-creation of knowledge in socially responsible environments. The model reinforces the integral development of students, enhances personal and professional expression, and strengthens motivation and a sense of purpose, guiding them towards active and meaningful participation in the socio-professional community.

This inter-institutional recognition highlights the excellence of the teaching practices developed at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. This recognition comes after the lecturer was also awarded first place in the Prática+ Award (CIP/P.PORTO), consolidating the consistency and impact of her work in pedagogical innovation in higher education.

With this distinction, ISCAP and the Polytechnic Institute of Porto reinforce their commitment to teaching practices focused on students, co-creation and effective connection to the academic and professional community, now also highlighted at an interinstitutional level through the INOV-NORTE consortium – Centre of Excellence for Pedagogical Innovation in the Northern Region.
The INOV-NORTE Forum, which took place on 4 December, brought together the six institutions of the consortium, namely the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, the University of Porto, the Portuguese Catholic University, the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança and the Porto School of Nursing - in a moment of sharing and reflection on the future paths of innovation and pedagogical modernisation in Higher Education.

For the P.PORTO Centre for Pedagogical Innovation, this award validates the institutional commitment to student-centred education, social responsibility and effective community engagement, which are essential pillars of the mission of the consortium funded by the PRR.
